LK Acting Studio is currently accepting virtual students ages 8 and up who are interested in developing their technique or enhancing their work in theatre, film, and television. My audition coaching and scene study will ensure you are submitting your best work to casting directors.  I can also help you create a uniquely nuanced character for your on-stage or on-set work with rich homework that flows organically into your performance.  As of right now, my usually recommended weekend intensive is being suspended due to the pandemic.

“There are times in my career when I witness education in its purest form. Thursday was one of those magical moments.”
– Dr. Brad A. Williams
Vice President of Student Affairs, Nova Southeastern University

“Levi is the perfect mix of personality and professionalism. Our time with him was enlightening and educational. Without preaching, Levi infected our students with a desire for excellence, a hunger to pursue their unique talents and a vision for the journey ahead of them. He is a breath of fresh air and a wonderful human being. I highly recommend extending an invitation to Levi Kreis to be a master clinician for your arts program.”
– Nancy Allen
Coordinator of Musical Theatre, Belmont University

Levi Kreis is a Tony Award winning actor best known for originating the role of Jerry Lee Lewis in Broadway’s Tony nominated musical Million Dollar Quartet. The role won Levi the 2010 Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical, a 2010 Outer Critics Circle Award, and a 2010 Drama League nomination. Other notable credits include the Tony nominated revival of Violet, Smokey Joe’s Cafe, Rent, Pump Boys & Dinettes, and the national tour of Rent. Kreis’ interest in new works has drawn him to theatrical developments such as One Red Flower with Emmy Award Winning director Paris Barclay and Mozart L’ Opera Rock with Tony nominated director Lonny Price. These works have appeared at the Kennedy Center, The Village Theater, The Goodman Theater, and the North Shore Music Theater.

Levi began his acting career in film with the role of Fenton, Adam’s brother (Matthew McConaughey) in Bill Paxton’s directorial debut Frailty (2001). He has recently returned to screen with roles in A Very Sordid Wedding (2017 – winner of Best Comedy, Best Screenplay and Best Ensemble at FilmOut Festival) and The Divide (2018 – Finalist – Official Selection European Cinematography Awards and Official Selection 51st Annual Worldfest-Houston International Film Festival 2018).

Kreis is a long time disciple of the Warner Loughlin technique, works regularly with multi-award winning film director and coach Del Shores and also coaches with Matt Newton Acting Studios when in New York City. He believes these three approaches are complimentary to each other and can ensure an approach tailor-made for any actor.
